Biography:
Yumi is the eldest child of two, born to very successful parents...her father owning his own business and her mother a University professor. Her sister is six years younger than she is, but they're still very close. As a child, Yumi was sheltered, protected from the world and given anything she could ever want. She went to only the best schools and was frighteningly smart. Of course, she pushed herself hard in school to prove herself and was very successful, however, because of this she didn't have very many friends. She never got into trouble like normal school children and was the model student. Most were jealous of her parents' money and the fact that all of the teachers adored her, so she was subjected to quite a bit of teasing throughout all of her schooling.
When she finished high school, her father decided to take the family on a trip around the world. Yumi wasn't much interested in leaving home, but she couldn't disappoint her father by telling him she would rather stay in Tokyo! They were gone for nearly a year and traveled to the US, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East as well. Despite not really wanting to go, Yumi did have a good time...that is until they stopped in Africa. If there was one thing Yumi was interested in, it was Egypt...so her father was sure to plan a trip there just for his eldest daughter. It was their last stop, and he wanted to save the best for last to surprise her...and surprised she was!
One one of the last nights they were there, Yumi was heading back to her hotel room when she heard a noise that sounded like a hurt animal. She had always been an animal lover, so she investigated the source of the sound. And what did she find, but the cutest looking fox she'd ever seen! It was the color of sand and was tiny...though it's ears were HUGE compared to its body. Surely, everyone knows that you're not supposed to approach a wild animal, but approach it Yumi did and from then on, her life changed forever. The second she bent down to look closer at the crazed fox, it attacked her and tore her leg open from the thigh to her knee. After recovering, she returned home with her family and was reluctant to ever travel again.
When she returned home, she received a shock with her first full moon, although she really didn't know what was going on and couldn't remember much. The local Lukoi had found out about her infection and sought to help her with her training and control, since no one could find a fellow fox for her to learn from. She did her best and trained hard so she'd have better control of her beast, not wanting to attack another person as she had been. After a few years, she branched off from the Lukoi, but they still check in with her from time to time, to make sure she's not running rampant and attacking people. She can control herself very well, and eventually she hopes to become an alpha.
Her parents left for the US and she opted to stay in Tokyo for a year or two, working at a legal firm. Things went well for a while, but her mother consistently called her and begged her to come live with them. Yumi resisted as long as she could but eventually she packed up everything and moved to the States to be with her family...which delighted her mother and little sister. Yumi found a job with another legal firm and is enjoying herself in Boston, and wondering why it took her so long to move here.
