The script was old, almost archaic. It would have arrived a month ago, his understanding of Vampire law and life had grown in the years he had spent with his current Master. Heiden's written english left a lot to be desired, but rather than dictate to Griffin and admit weakness, he had opted to write the letter himself.
Herr Laurent Deveraux,
Regards to you and your family. My name is Heiden Merten, I have spent the last four years as the Master of Galway's Leibwaechter. -the word he was looking for, was akin to bodyguard, her highest confidant, often her figurehead when new creatures came to seek vampiric acceptance- This position is no longer required, and after much research, I would petition acceptance into your city, for myself and my Gefaengnisabteilung -female ward, though the reality was, she was a replacement for someone he had lost, but would not admit in a letter, or perhaps ever-.
If you require further information, I would be willing to answer your catechism. Awaiting your reply,
Herr Heiden Merten.
