--Omega/Weak-- So you've just been bitten by a Were... Wonderful, isn't it? Unfortunately you won't know if you've been infected until the first moon comes around. However, there are some basic changes that you will notice after the first moon. These are:
- Enlightened Senses: Sight, Smell, Sound, Touch, Taste All senses are increased by at least 5x that of a normal human with the onset of the infection. 10x when one is in beast form. - Enlightened Reflexes: Stamina, Speed, Reflex, Agility, Strength Stamina, speed, reflexes, strength, and agility are increased. - Detect Vital Signs You are now able to detect when someone's vitals rise or fall, also changes in heartbeat, breathing, perspiration, etc. With this you can also tell when someone is lying, if you know what you're looking for. - Shift To Beast Form Whether you want to or not, your beast will consume you and force you to shift. Whatever animal you were infected by, this is the lycanthrope you will turn into when the moon is full. Once shifted, they remain in beast form for 9-12 hours, then pass out and shift back to human form. Weak lycans have little to no control over their beast, and also will not remember anything they did for the first few months that they shift. Extreme emotions and situations can cause an unwanted shift as well. - Regenerate You can now heal wounds that are inflicted upon you. Your body will heal at a faster rate than a normal human, and this goes for broken bones as well. However, broken bones would have to be set immediately..lest you be forced to rebreak them and shift to fix them. If you are badly bruised or beaten, your body will force itself to shift at that time so you will be able to retreat and heal your wounds.

--Moderate-- You now have good control over your beast and have learned to keep it at bay. Keep in mind that even Strong Moderates, during extreme situations, may still shift. You still have a strong chance of losing control during a fight, sex, or an emotionally overloaded situation (such as a fight with your loved one, a strong argument between a friend, etc.).
- Control Change in Self This ability lets a lycan have some control of when, and where, they shift to a certain exten due to things such as blood, orgasm, or emotions. The moon still forces one to shift, however, and if the stimuli is strong one may still need the help of someone stronger, an alpha, to help keep from shifting. - Sense Other Weres If a lycan is of equal strength or weaker, then you can sense that they are a lycanthrope. This does not give you the ability to tell what strain they are. And if the individual is higher than you, and shielding, then there is the chance you would not notice them. - Shields The ability to metaphysically 'shield' yourself and your beast from those around you. Anyone stronger than you will still be able to see through them, but those of weaker strength will be unable to feel you.
--Strong Moderate-- - No Shift Coma Once shifted back from animal to human form, normally a lycanthrope would be trust into a 'shift-coma' that lasts anywhere from 6 to 10 hours. This ability allows one to 'by-pass' that coma. An individual is still weak after shifting back to human form, however, but is able to function. How long one remains weakened varies from individual to individual. - Solace Strong Moderate lycanthropes can send out a wave of comforting energy to immediately soothe weaker beasts. All Strong Moderate characters will automatically obtain this attribute.
--Special Abilities/Strong Moderate-- Some strains of lycanthrope gain a special ability that no other kinds have. It doesn't mean that a lycan of a particular strain automatically has that ability. Some never gain it.
- Razor Jaw - Hyenas Natural hyenas are blessed with a wickedly strong jaw. This gives them the ability to chop through things that the normal creature could not, such as bone, and aids them in ingesting every piece of an animal. With a jaw like this, one can easily bite through an opponents limb, giving the receiver need to heal or lose limbs.
- Howl - Wolves Wolves can let out an eerie howl sound that, when heard, sends shivers along the spines of humans and lycans alike, and also can drive lesser lycans to flee in terror or, in some cases, become paralyzed for a short period of time (10 seconds. The stronger a wolf is, the more chance the individual will be paralyzed).
- Claw Growth - Tigers/Lions/Leopards All claws on the feline/cat extend and grow to be as long as 12 inches, making them more devastating than ever.
- Needle Blast - Rats Each individual fur on the rat's coat stands on end and hardens, creating the tips of the fur to become as sharp as knives. This is mostly used in defense, when an enemy is attempting to grasp at their fur. Extra fur grows on the rat's back so that it can be released from the body and projectiled through the air straight at the victim in a devastating needle attack.

--Alpha-- Alpha's are the dominant Lycans, the leaders and the winners. Most Alpha's are strong willed and patient (though there are a fair few who are very impatient and testy) and have complete control over their beast. This means they shift when they want to shift and do not shift during sex, violent acts, etc. as other lower levels do. Another hallmark of the Alpha and its control of it's own beast is its ability to control the shifting of one weaker then themselves. They are the sponsors and looked to for their support with weakers in their abilities to keep the new weaks from shifting in public and all but killing themselves for it.
NOTE: if you play an alpha/master char, we'd like you to be in the room a minimum of twice a week. Leader chars 3 or 4. If you cannot commit to this, you might be better off playing one of lesser strength/abilities.
**- This is the freebie power that is the sign of having reached the level of Alpha. -** - Control Change in Others This ability to control another lycan of the same breed/strain from shifting. In essence it could also force the targets beast to be stripped from them, basically making the target human for a temporary amount of time. When this happens the supposed beast will not be able to shift, regenerate wounds, etc.
**-Please Choose NO MORE THAN THREE of the abilites belown (This doesn't mean you have to have three): -**
- Fast Shift to Animal Like fast shift to human, this allows a lycanthrope to shift quickly to beast form. No more long, painful, process of bones breaking and reshifting. Like Micah from the books, it's much smoother and quicker. One will still be drained of energy should they attempt to shift back to human soon after using this. - Fast Shift to Human Allows a lycanthrope to shift quickly back to human form. Some do it more smoothly than others. There is a small energy drain when using this, and if one shifts back quickly from beast in under two hours they will need time to rest and rejuvenate their strength. Not as common as it's counterpart 'Fast Shift to Animal' - Call to Arms An alpha with this ability can send out a call within a certain radius that would be felt by everyone of their particular kind, in essence 'calling' those lycans to them. Other lycanthropes, leaders, would also be aware of the call. - Partial Shift Guess what? You can now shift certain parts of your body... Yeah, that's right. You want claws, canines, and maybe a bit of fur at the same time? With this attribute, you got it! It isn't all that common of an ability, but not too exceedingly rare either. Not everyone will have this! If you have this, you cannot have Facial Manip. Check caps to see if this is available - Facial Manipulation With this ability, the lycanthrope is able to physically alter their facial appearance to slight degrees. Its not an illusion. Its actual facial reconstruction by shifting bones and flesh within their face. The extent of the changes are subtle and innocuous. A lycanthrope with this ability can alter his or her appearance to look like a sibling, or a cousin or appear younger or older. Its enough of a change to be distinguishable as a different person, but not so much that the resemblance isn't seen. Note: It is a rare ability to have. Only one or two in the books were mentioned. If you have this, you cannot have Partial Shift Check caps to see if this is available
--Strong Alpha-- - Force Shift With this ability, an Alpha is able make one of lesser strength forcibly shift form. More commonly it's used to force one to shift from human to animal, or to hybrid form. Not a fun process. It's quite painful, agonizing, bit. It can also be used to force one to shift from animal form back to human form.
--Special Abilities/Strong Alpha-- - Call The Flesh (Feline Only) An extremely rare ability. Those that have this power are able to knit together wounds by licking at them, much like a cat grooming itself. It is the saliva passing over the wound that does this. Most wounds can be healed by this but those of mortal damage cannot, and will not, be healed. Check caps to see if this is available - Healing (Canine Only) Extremely Rare Ability. Unlike Call the Flesh, where one licks a wound to heal it, the use of this ability is done through either having sex, or price of blood. It takes a lot out of someone to use this. However, this ability is much stronger than Call the Flesh. Unlike that one, Healing can take care of near mortal wounds. Available only to lycans of the canine (wolf, fox, hyena) strain. Check caps to see if this is available
--Alpha Leader-- - Mystical Blood Aka Feed The Pack/Group Your blood somehow morphs in to something amazing. When concentrating upon it you can blend your beast’s metaphysical properties in to the spill of your blood, imbuing the recipient with the strength of will to carry on, like a really good pep rally. It also imbues a sort of euphoric high, is an innate pain blocker, and can amplify the healing ability. The euphoric high effects lycans and vampires alike causing them to slow down and become fixated upon their high, thereby blowing the lycan or vamps concentration for a full combat post. It is insanely addictive to the lycan or even lesser vampire that tastes it, therefore the lycan or lesser vampire will try to do anything to please the Leader to get another “hit” or taste of it. Vampires will find it highly addictive and only a Master vampire can resist the temptations of the blood. After constant weekly feedings it can give the vampire an unprecedented power. (get with admin to work out the details) Though if more then a month has passed without the blood, that power can begin to fade and after two months is completely gone from the vampires repertoire. Therefore they will be highly prized. Only another Lycan can divert the effects of Mystical Blood. Check caps to see if this is available (s) - Shield the Call This shields the Group from a Master Vampire's call to the Animal/Species, however the stronger the Master Vampire, the sooner the Alpha Leader must answer the call themselves in order to protect their group.
--Special Abilities/Leader-- - Call the Munin - Wolves Wolf Specific. Wolf leaders can draw energy from the Munin (spirits of fallen werewolves), increasing reflexes times three. Also binds the pack closer, when done at the Lupanar. Check caps to see if this is available - Speak to the Munin - Wolves Wolf Specific. The ability to communicate and understand the Munin through ways of mediation and dreams. General Speak and call the Munin go hand in hand. But not always. Check caps to see if this is available - Order the Horde - Rats Rat Specific. The Ability to command thousands of other natural rats to one specific duty, such as locate someone, swarm the area, or devour the target. Only the leader of the rats can do this. - War Call - Hyena Hyena Specific. The Oba of a clan gives a deep sound, letting the other hyenas on the hunt to trap the target and surround the location. The Hyenas will only answer this coming from their Oba, no one else.
