Biography:
Born of a mermaid and a wealthy sea traveler, the early years were full of advanture. Training with his mother or following his father across the globe in search of treasures and long forgotten secrets. Learning of the world and all it had to offer.
Along the way, he too had met a young woman. Quiet, beautiful, patient and talented in psionics, he would often sneak away to see her. Bringing her treasures found while finding comfort in her presence.
The more time spent wit her, the less he would see of his parents. Until he had all but lost contact. Then one day he would recieve a letter, news that his father had been lost in his travels to the sea. Diego left, determined to find him. Leaving his love behind in promise to return to her. He was gone many years searching for the wreckage of the ship or signs of his father. Eventually finding it among an old, abandoned city ruins. Finding only the gathered treasures in the belly of the destroyed ship, Diego went home.
Returning to his lady, only to find she had fallen victim to a vampire in his time away. A prisoner to the monster's power, Diego tried to free her, even offering a trade with the vampire. The monster refused and once more Diego found himself in search of a loved one.
He followed them, the vampire attempting to flee to the states to avoid the fighting with the humans. Conflicts Diego found himself in along the way. Defending the weaker race from the mosnters. Into the states, the vampire and his love hid away in a house and when Diego finally caught up, found that house in flames. The woman choosing to kill them both rather than suffer further. He was forced to wait until the flames died to approach and search the house.
What was left of the house was nothing more than a shell and very little was found of the two trapped within the blaze. Though within that room he felt a sudden flood of power, an embrace and a voice all too familiar. Promising him a gift and the eternal love of the woman.. though he wouldn't recognize what that meant until much later.
Furious and heartbroken, Diego returns to the sea. There to live among his own kind for several years. Though their society and feelings over power drove him to continue traveling after awhile to avoid being killed. Surfacing only to feed until curiosity would draw him back to dry land. Where his first encounter met with helping an old fisherman. The man was gracious for Diego's generosity and upon learning he ws new to the country, offered him a room and teaching of the language.
Here, he would spend his time focusing on himself. When not offering his services to the elder, would be out reading, scouting or fighting. Seeking out the best masters and training. Using his anger and his pain to drive him and destroy more monsters.
It was one such monster that had changed him. Much like his lost love, she was a creature of beauty, patience and power. Though Diego tried fighting her, she merely evaded and when he accused her, she reacted without anger. Anger became confusion and confusion became devotion. Through her, Diego ws released of his pain and with her power and the "gift" from the other, was able to breach the barriers holding hm back.
When the old man passed away, the house and the boat were left to Diego where he still resides. With age he has calmed somewhat, difused of the rage he had once felt. Today he is more himself and spends his time in solitude training or out in the water. Taking a renewed interest in collecting old treasures. Though he is no less driven. With a distaste for monsters (both human and supernatural), contunes to hunt them either as a meal or in defense of another. As none should have to suffer as he had.
